Best Practices

Use the housewares category when your item represents a standard household object with a clear spatial presence and structural function — e.g., a sofa, table, bed, cabinet, or floor lamp. Housewares are meant to form the architectural and practical skeleton of a livable space.

When not to use `housewares`

If the object is very small, purely decorative, or hard to classify, consider using miscellaneous instead. Examples: candles, cups, books.
If the object is a non-functional 3D art piece, use the sculptures category.

Design principles and scale considerations

Housewares should feel functional and domestic — they serve a purpose and should be something the user can imagine use it.
Avoid making housewares overly abstract or purely decorative — if the primary value is artistic rather than functional, consider sculptures instead.

It is categorized under housewares.
It may or may not be stackable; by default, it is not stackable.
Future feature: It can support click-based interaction.
Future feature: It may optionally function as a storage item.
